Greenspring Counseling
Victoria S. Young, Ph.D., LCSW-C

If you are an adult or couple seeking therapy or counseling services in the Pikesville/Owings Mills area, I can help.

For most of us stress is an everyday thing. From it come anxiety, depression, conflict, and, well, more stress. This “vicious cycle” is at the heart of so much of our experience and very often it is hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. When we finally decide to seek help from a therapist, it’s usually because we’ve tried everything else and we are at the end of our rope.

You’ve come to the right place.

If you are burdened by grief, loss, caring for a loved one; if you are haunted by frightening memories of the past, or trying to get out of a painful or abusive situation right now; if your marriage or committed relationship is going ‘off the tracks’; if you are sad, angry, nervous or feel emotionally overwhelmed, you are not alone.

What you probably don’t know is that you have the answers already, but they are impossible to see through the cloud of frustration and fear that has built itself up around you. This is where I can help. You don’t need “advice” or another parent to tell you what to do; you more likely need someone to help clear the storm of overwhelming feelings and seemingly unmanageable life situations.

Let me help you mobilize your strengths and resources, and address the things that bring you down or get in the way of your goals. If knowledge is power, self-knowledge is the ultimate empowerment.

For some, this is the first time you are seeking therapy. To you I say “Congratulations”—there is so much to be gained and only your pain to lose. For those who have been in therapy before, you may simply be seeking a new connection, or to improve upon a previous experience: I welcome your experience and respect the hard work you have already begun.

My office provides a warm, welcoming and non-judgmental atmosphere in which to create a relationship built on trust, respect and empathy. Explore my website and find out about an exciting technique called EMDR that I use in addition to traditional psychotherapy.
You’ve already done the hardest thing—admitting you need help—so don’t keep yourself waiting any longer.
